Does not promise fixed prices or compare against other builders.
Turns the next step into a tidy account review pack.
Guidance note
Spend-band readiness evidence
Reviewed by ConstructionIntel on 14 June 2026.
A spend-band readiness check asks whether the builder has enough recent account evidence for a supplier terms conversation. Useful evidence is recent spend, account age, invoice count, payment history, statement cleanliness, regular product categories and open queries. It does not prove entitlement to better prices; it shows whether the paperwork is ready for a structured account review.
Total recent supplier spend and invoice count before asking for a review.
Check account age, payment record and whether supplier statements reconcile cleanly.
List regular product categories so the conversation is not based on a single invoice.
Resolve open credit notes, duplicate invoices and statement differences before using the pack as evidence.
What happens next
If it looks odd, send the invoice.
You get a readiness score, the evidence to gather and a reminder that better terms depend on your own account history.
